Along with Monday Music Motivation, I am going to try to share a new exercise every Wednesday. School really makes it hard to spend time blogging but I REALLY want to try to keep ya'll learning and working hard too!
So this Wednesday I'm sharing my own little "twist" (actually quite literally a twist) on the Russian Twist. I call this little exercise the Russian Row. It is targeting the abdominals and obliques using the weight and motion to throw your body just slightly off balance to have to work that middle to keep balance and keep the motion going. I like the fact this exercise also makes the arms engage and work more than the Russian Twist due to the rowing motion. Now, if you have any back issues than I would be cautious with this exercise since it does put some twisting on the back.
