After weeks of getting super annoyed with my tangling hair. I decided chop my hair off.
Granted, I was thinking shoulder-length and ended up with a chin-length do. I'm ok with it and looking forward to the less tangles and no ponytails and maybe actually fixing my hair? Yeah, we'll see if that happens.
I also have to share my new fireplace!!! Ok, here's the old, wooden, pine look.
Here's the Kilz Primer-no sanding step. This is actually the first time I've used this stuff and it's awesome. I loved not having to sanding and this stuff helped the paint take to the surface so smoothly!
Last but not least, the final look! I love how it turned out! I ended up filling in some of the cracks above the fireplace with some plain old wood putty to make it smooth.
I love the gold accents around the room to make it look a little flashier.
I decided to splurge a little and get some pretty door handles from Hobby Lobby and spray painted the hinges good to complete the country-glamor look!
I love the way it updated the room and it actually feels like a larger room now! Next up, painting crown moulding!
