I went and saw Catching Fire this week and LOVED it! It's been about a year since I've read the books so I'm a bit rusty on details but I really liked how much better you get to know the characters in this movie.
Liam Hemsworth is as hot as ever. Poor guy has to watch the love of his life love another. But hey, Gale's way hotter than Peeta as far as I'm concerned!
An emotional side of Effie comes out. Seeing her like that was so touching. Sort of like seeing the fragile side of something you thought was unbreakable. The people of the Capital come off to me as overly eccentric but full of emotion, you just don't see the sad and bad because the vivid color they surround themselves with.
I actually really began to like Katniss in this movie. My issues with heroines is they always seem to be a bit on the whiney side. But seeing her and Peeta during the tour really made me start to believe in her.
While I loved the movie, I must admit I'm slightly freaked out by the seemingly overuse of the whistle.
Seriously, did you watch the Macy's Day Parade? I kept thinking, "Holy crap, something's about to go down!" hehe It's the beginning of the Revolution! Go see this movie!
