July Literary Junkies

**This post is all my own opinions, however it does contain affiliate links.

So I was a bit behind in my reading this last month due to tons of traveling!  However, I did enjoy the two books that I have been able to dive into.

However I am choosing to put The Second Empress down so I can be sure to finish next month's The Perks of Being a Wallflower.  It is the book of the month for Literary Junkies for August so I'm going to take a stab at it.

I really tried to get into The Art of Racing in the Rain but I just couldn't do it.  Wasn't my style, seemed to boring and sad and I couldn't even make it through the first chapter.

So on to this month's Literary Junkies questions:

1. What are you currently reading? Tell us about it.

I'm LOVING this book!  Michelle Moran is successful spinning her web of amazing details that I can literally see Napoleon!

Not gonna lie, I haven't started it.  However, I do plan on opening it tonight.  It looks promising so we'll see.

2. What book first made you fall in love with reading?

I don't know if it was a particular book...I've always loved reading and I think I grew to love the ability to disappear into a book and become someone else.

3. Summer is a great time for series.  What are your series recommendations?

The Hunger Games, any of Ken Follet's, Harry Potter...just to name a few

4. Does a song come to mind with the book you are currently

reading? If so what it is?

Oh, cool question.  Funny thing is I usually do the opposite.  When I hear a song, I think of a book and how well that song would match a particular scene in a book.

5. Are you participating in any summer reading challenges?

No, I'm not good at challenges like that.  I'm trying just to keep up with this book club!

  1. Perks is one of my favorite books of all time! I hope you like it. :) Can't wait for the Twitter chat to see what everyone else thinks.

I love comments! Let me know what your thinking:)
